The Special Adviser on Media to the Kogi State Governor, Ismaila Isah, has commissioned a new secretariat for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogaminana Central Ward, Adavi Local Government Area, as part of efforts to deepen grassroots political engagement and strengthen party structures in the area.
The newly commissioned APC secretariat, located at Inorere in Ogaminana Central Ward, was established through the initiative of the Governor’s spokesman to support effective party administration and coordination of political activities within the ward and the wider local government area.
Speaking during the commissioning ceremony, Isah said the project was aimed at reassuring party members and supporters in Ogaminana Central that they remain a critical part of the APC family and the administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.
He commended the people of the ward for their unwavering loyalty and commitment to the progressive movement from the days of the legacy political parties to the present APC structure, noting that their consistency had played a major role in the party’s continued dominance in the area.
According to him, the people of Ogaminana Central have remained steadfast in their support for over 13 years despite changing political dispensations.
“This secretariat is to reassure you that you have not been abandoned. More good things are still coming to our people,” he stated.
Isah further disclosed that the empowerment support for youths, women and artisans carried out during the event represents the first phase of a broader intervention programme that will extend across the 22 polling units in Ogaminana Central Ward.
He urged residents to sustain their support for the administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as well as the future political aspirations of former Governor Yahaya Bello and other APC candidates.
The Governor’s aide also charged party members and supporters to remain united, focused and committed to the ideals of the APC, assuring them that their loyalty and dedication would continue to attract more opportunities and development to the area.
Stakeholders and party leaders at the event described the initiative as timely and impactful, noting that it would further consolidate the APC’s grassroots presence in Adavi Local Government Area.
They commended Ismaila Isah for maintaining close ties with the grassroots and for his commitment to the welfare, empowerment and political inclusion of party members and supporters in Ogaminana Central Ward.
The event also featured the distribution of cash gifts and working tools to over 200 youths, women and artisans as part of efforts to promote grassroots development, economic support and community engagement.
