The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has rescheduled the unveiling and inauguration of its National Campaign Council (NCC) from Tuesday, October 20, to Monday, October 26, 2026, following a change in the schedule of its presidential candidate, Peter Obi.
The National Publicity Secretary of the party, Osa Director, disclosed this in a press statement issued on Monday, October 19, 2026, explaining that the postponement was necessitated by Obi’s important overseas engagement.
The party apologised for any inconvenience caused by the change of date and urged its members and supporters to remain focused on securing victory for Obi and other NDC candidates in the forthcoming presidential and general elections.
The statement reiterated the party’s determination to achieve its electoral objectives, urging stakeholders to sustain their efforts towards the success of its candidates.
It ended with the party’s slogan, “A New Nigeria is Possible.”
