The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has described its presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, as a symbol of hope whose leadership, integrity and vision continue to inspire millions of Nigerians, as he marks his birthday.
In a goodwill message signed by the National Chairman of the party, Senator Cleopas Moses Zuwoghe, and the National Secretary, Barrister Ikenna Morgan, the NDC said Obi’s commitment to selfless service and people-centred leadership has strengthened the party’s resolve to work towards a better Nigeria.
The party noted that Obi’s courage, discipline and unwavering belief in good governance have made him a rallying point for Nigerians yearning for accountable leadership and national renewal.
According to the statement, Obi’s vision for a country where the welfare of citizens takes priority continues to resonate with party members and supporters across the country, describing him as “the hope of the nation” and a leader whose ideals remain central to the NDC’s mission.
The NDC prayed for God to grant its presidential candidate good health, wisdom and divine guidance, expressing confidence in his ability to continue providing purposeful leadership as the country prepares for future democratic engagements.
The party also reaffirmed its support for Obi’s aspirations, pledging to remain committed to the values of transparency, accountability and inclusive governance, which it said form the foundation of the NDC’s agenda for a new Nigeria.
