The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has called on corps members and staff to reflect on the virtues of sacrifice, renewal, hope, and love as Christians celebrate Easter.
In an Easter message to members of the NYSC family, the scheme emphasized that the season offers a profound reminder of the values that align closely with the ideals of national service and commitment to the nation.
The message urged corps members to allow the spirit of the season to guide their daily conduct and interactions, stressing that these virtues remain central to building a stronger and more united Nigeria.
According to the statement, Easter provides an opportunity for reflection and renewed dedication to the principles of unity, selfless service, and mutual respect which form the foundation of the NYSC programme.
Corps members were encouraged to remain steadfast in their commitment to national integration, while drawing strength from Nigeria’s diversity to foster peace and development across communities.
The Director-General also commended corps members and staff for their dedication and contributions to national development, noting that their collective resolve continues to promote unity and understanding among Nigerians.
The message further expressed optimism that with a shared sense of purpose and commitment, members of the scheme can continue to advance the vision of a peaceful, united, and prosperous nation.
It added that the spirit of Easter should inspire renewed strength, deepen the culture of service, and instill hope and fulfillment in the hearts of all members of the NYSC.
