Leader of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Seriake Dickson, has called for intensified mobilisation across the country as the party continues to attract new members and political stakeholders ahead of future elections.
Speaking after a series of mobilisation visits and consultations, Dickson disclosed that the party received key stakeholders from Gombe State led by the National Vice Chairman, Danlami Arabs, and the National Women Leader, Dudu Manuga, alongside other party officials.
The delegation visited the NDC leadership to formally present gubernatorial aspirant Babayo Ardo, who held strategic discussions with the party’s national leadership on strengthening the party’s presence and mobilisation efforts in Gombe State.
Dickson commended the state leadership for their commitment to the party’s growth, noting that Gombe was already making steady progress.
According to him, “Gombe is on course and doing well. I commend the state officials for their efforts and encourage them to intensify mobilisation across the state.”
In a related development, the NDC leader also received the Chairman of Nasarawa State chapter of the party, Dogo Shammah, who recently resigned his membership of the ruling party to join the NDC.
Shammah, a former Commissioner for Information, was accompanied by the State Secretary, Osokunu, himself a former Local Government Council Chairman.
Dickson described the progress of the party in Nasarawa as encouraging, commending the state leadership for their dedication while urging them to sustain and expand mobilisation efforts across the state.
The former Bayelsa governor also hosted a group of young NDC members and supporters in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), including an aspirant for the House of Representatives, Jesse Williams Ejemot.
He urged the youth and party supporters to intensify membership registration and grassroots mobilisation in collaboration with other stakeholders across the FCT.
Dickson reaffirmed that the NDC remains open to all Nigerians who seek positive change, particularly encouraging the participation of young people and women in the party’s political process.
He also called on Nigerians to take advantage of the ongoing nationwide membership registration to formally join the party.
“We encourage everyone to take advantage of
the ongoing nationwide membership registration to become members of the NDC. Together, we will build a strong, inclusive and people-driven political movement that delivers real change for all Nigerians,” he said.
The NDC leader expressed appreciation to Nigerians for their growing confidence in the party, describing the movement as one committed to building a broad-based platform for democratic participation and national development.
