The Honourable Minister of Education, Dr. Maruf Tunji Alausa, has said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu deserves another mandate in the 2027 presidential election, citing the administration’s economic reforms, improving macroeconomic indicators and growing confidence from both local and international institutions.
Speaking during an interview, Dr. Alausa said the Tinubu administration has kept faith with Nigerians by implementing bold and far-reaching reforms aimed at repositioning the nation’s economy and laying a strong foundation for sustainable growth.
According to the Minister, the impact of the reforms is becoming increasingly evident, with reports by the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the World Bank, Bloomberg and Nigeria’s National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) acknowledging improvements in key economic indicators and renewed investor confidence.
He noted that inflation is gradually easing, economic activities are expanding and other major economic indices are showing signs of steady recovery, adding that the country’s progress is now being validated by independent assessments rather than political narratives.
Dr. Alausa said President Tinubu remains committed to ensuring that the current reforms are not only successful but also sustainable enough to secure Nigeria’s long-term economic future.
“The President is focused on building a stronger Nigeria for generations to come. These reforms are not designed for short-term gains but to create lasting prosperity. There is no value in making difficult decisions if they cannot stand the test of time,” he said.
The Minister explained that the administration’s emphasis on fiscal discipline, structural reforms and economic stability is already yielding positive outcomes across several sectors, placing Nigeria on a stronger path towards inclusive growth, increased productivity and national development.
He maintained that as Nigerians continue to experience the benefits of the ongoing reforms, President Tinubu’s performance in office will remain his strongest campaign ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
Dr. Alausa further reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to implementing policies that strengthen the economy, improve the welfare of citizens and advance the Renewed Hope Agenda, expressing confidence that the gains of the reforms will continue to translate into lasting prosperity for all Nigerians.
