The All Progressives Congress (APC) has rejoiced with Christians and Nigerians across the country and in the diaspora on the occasion of Easter, calling on citizens to embrace peace, love, and tolerance in the spirit of the season.
In a statement issued on Sunday in Abuja, the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Felix Morka, said Easter represents the triumph of life over death and light over darkness, symbolizing God’s boundless love, mercy, forgiveness, and redemption.
Morka noted that the celebration of the resurrection of Christ rekindles hope for new beginnings and serves as a reminder of the enduring values that should guide Nigerians in their daily lives.
He urged Nigerians to use the period to strengthen the bonds of unity and work together toward building a stronger and more prosperous nation.
According to him, the Easter celebration also offers political, religious, and traditional leaders an opportunity for sober reflection and a renewed commitment to the promotion of peace, harmony, national cohesion, and the advancement of the common good of all Nigerians.
The APC spokesman expressed hope that the message of the season would inspire leaders and citizens alike to confront the country’s challenges with courage, understanding, and a shared sense of responsibility.
He added that the party prayed for divine guidance and strength for Nigeria’s leaders and the nation as a whole to overcome its challenges and achieve lasting peace and prosperity.
Morka wished all Christians and Nigerians a joyful Easter celebration filled with happiness and divine blessings.
