The Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, has charged officers of the Nigeria Police Force who recently completed an international security training programme in Egypt to apply their newly acquired skills to improving operational efficiency and public safety.
Disu gave the charge on Friday, October 23, 2026, when he received the officers at the Force Headquarters in Abuja, following their successful completion of a two-month International Security Training Course at the Police Academy Research Center in Cairo, Egypt.
The delegation, led by CSP Bukola Adedayo-Olajuyigbe, was congratulated by the IGP, who commended the officers for their performance, discipline and professionalism throughout the programme.
He urged the officers to translate the knowledge and specialised skills acquired during the training into practical policing strategies that would strengthen internal security and improve the protection of lives and property.
The police chief also stressed the importance of maintaining high professional standards, noting that the value of specialised training lies in its effective application to policing operations and service delivery.
The training forms part of the Nigeria Police Force’s efforts to build the capacity of its personnel through international partnerships and specialised learning opportunities aimed at enhancing professional competence
