The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has extended the deadline for the collection of Expression of Interest Forms for aspirants seeking to contest the State Houses of Assembly, House of Representatives, Senate and Governorship elections on the party’s platform.
In a statement signed by the National Secretary of the party, Ikenna Morgan Enekweizu, Esq., the deadline, which was earlier scheduled to close at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 17, 2026, has been extended to 12:00 midnight on Sunday, May 24, 2026.
The statement noted that the extension is intended to provide additional opportunity for interested aspirants to obtain the forms and complete the necessary procedures.
It added that the screening of aspirants who have purchased and completed the Expression of Interest Forms will commence on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, and end on Tuesday, May 26, 2026.
According to the statement, the collection and submission of Nomination Forms for all screened and cleared aspirants will begin on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, and close on Tuesday, May 26, 2026.
The party emphasized that no further extension will be granted beyond the new deadline and urged aspirants to comply strictly with the timetable.
The statement also announced that the collection of Expression of Interest Forms for the Office of the President has officially closed.
