The All Progressives Congress (APC) has commended its National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, for his efforts to build a stronger, more united and institutionally sound party as he marks his 58th birthday.
In a statement issued on Saturday, August 8, 2026, and signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the APC said Yilwatda’s tenure had been characterised by inclusive leadership, commitment to internal democracy and initiatives aimed at strengthening the party’s organisational structure.
The party said the National Chairman had played a significant role in deepening party unity while enhancing the capacity of the APC to effectively mobilise and retain its growing membership.
It specifically highlighted the successful implementation of the party’s electronic membership registration exercise, describing the initiative as a landmark development that had helped expand the APC’s membership base.
According to the party, the development further consolidated the APC’s position as Nigeria’s largest political party.
The ruling party also said Yilwatda had continued to position the APC for sustained electoral success in alignment with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
It said his leadership had reinforced the party’s commitment to democratic values, good governance and national development.
While congratulating Yilwatda on attaining 58, the National Working Committee expressed appreciation to God for his life and prayed for continued wisdom, strength, sound health and divine grace as he leads the party.
The APC National Working Committee, National Executive Committee, leaders, members and supporters across Nigeria and abroad joined in celebrating the National Chairman and wished him many more years of impactful service to the party and the nation.
